To support our “Net-zero” target by 2050, we must understand what it means. “Net-zero” is achieved when the amount of carbon we add to the atmosphere is no more than the amount removed.
With that, we have devised a comprehensive plan to actively reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at every stage.
Our target is to reduce our absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2021 baseline year. Below are more details on the sustainability projects that we have (and will) embark on.
Trocellen SEA’s Actions
We are committed to sustainability through a multifaceted approach. We aim to improve our environmental performance by reducing our carbon footprint and achieving carbon neutrality. This involves embracing renewable energy sources such as solar panels and prioritizing eco-friendly materials in our product design. We also implement rainwater harvesting to conserve water resources. Our overarching goal is to make a positive impact on the environment and continually enhance our sustainability efforts, taking matters in our own hands.
Switching to Renewable Energy
Trocellen aims to utilize renewable energy as an effective energy source towards achieving net-zero CO2 emissions by 2025. By 2024, we will begin generating our own renewable energy through solar panels and our aim is to achieve 100% renewable energy by 2025.

Trocellen SEA has integrated solar panels into its Malaysian facilities to harness clean and renewable solar energy, reducing our reliance on fossil fuels to move closer towards sustainable production.

According to the Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia (SEDA), as electricity generation from renewable resources displaces the generation of power from conventional fossil fuels, the generation of RE therefore reduces the overall greenhouse gas emissions from the fossil fuel power stations connected to the grid system. 1kWh electricity generated from renewable sources is able to save 0.639 kgCO2 in Peninsula Malaysia.
