Trocellen is a manufacturer of cross-linked Polyolefin (PO) foams. Together with our Japanese owner, Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd., we are heading for global success.

With more than 600 employees at seven sites and many cooperating companies, various partner universities, institutes and designers we offer solutions for a wide variety of industries and applications. Via our diverse business units, we meet industry-specific requirements and continuously develop innovative products for all kinds of needs. We produce finished goods, semi-finished products and raw materials for the consumer market and for our partners in various industries such as automotive, construction and insulation, leisure and professional sport, adhesive tapes, footwear and packaging.

History of Trocellen S.E.A.

  1. 1997

    Facell Foam Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated with manufacturing plant located in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

  2. 1997

    Trocellen S.E.A.’s first foaming process.

  3. 2001

    Facell Foam Sdn. Bhd. was renamed to Trocellen S.E.A. Sdn. Bhd., a subsidiary of Trocellen GmbH, Germany.

  4. 2001

    Lamination and Embossing conversion process was introduced.

  5. 2002

    Added new product to portfolio: Pipe Covers

  6. 2002

    Achieved ISO:9001 certification.

  7. 2004

    Business Expansion: New conversion factory in Telok Gong, Klang.

  8. 2005

    Trocellen was acquired by Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd. and Otsuka Chemical Co. Ltd.

  9. 2007

    Trocellen S.E.A. reached 10 years of excellence.

  10. 2007

    Business Expansion: All manufacturing and Conversion Processes relocated under one roof at Teluk Panglima Garang.

  11. 2010

    New product launch: Trocellen Green.

  12. 2011

    Glue coating process was added to product portfolio.

  13. 2013

    Launched new product: Tubular Pipe.

  14. 2013

    Business Expansion: Pipe Insulation conversion process was relocated to new factory (Factory #2), 400 metres away from main factory (Factory #1).

  15. 2014

    Trocellen was fully acquired by Furukawa Electric Co. Ltd. (100% share)

  16. 2014

    Business Expansion: First foaming line reached peak capacity, added second foaming line to double up our capacity.

    Launched new product: ProGame

  18. 2014

    Launched new product: iWals

  19. 2015

    Revitalized Trocellen’s look and feel by revamping our appearance with a new logo and branding image.

  20. 2016

    Business Expansion: Added a third factory (Factory #3) for other conversion processes, adjacent to our second factory. This allows factory #1 to focus on foaming process and allows for more storage space.

    Trocellen S.E.A. reached 20 years of excellence.
